Hydro Power

We need your help!  A company, Symbiotics wants to put in Hydro Power at Lock #8 in Genoa.  This proposal would be catastrophic for Clements Fishing Barge and our fishing industry.  They want to put in turbines across all the tainer gates, resulting in blocking half the river...It would eliminate fishing floats, hinder migration of fish by over 50%, resulting in lower hatchings, it would further restrict fishing below the dam, what would be left of it due to a submerged dike they want to put in the entire area could silt in.  These proposals would be economic suicide to all our small towns along the river not to mention decimating our fishing in the Mississippi River.  Too many species are all ready near extinction.  Please contact your local Senator or Representative and ask them to put a stop to this.  More importantly, we need you to contact the federal government at the following address to lodge a comment and complaint.  Once you log on find the document number that will show up as P-13010-000.  Or do a search if you don't see it right away.  Here is the address.  www.ferc.gov/docs-filing/ecomment.asp  click on the ecomment part!  If you have any questions email me.  Thanks for helping save this part of the river.  Please pass it on to all your friends.  Hey, we have a new line of custom made rods, right here in Wisconsin.  They are fantastic.  Stop in at Captain Hooks and check them out or take a look at mine out on the barge and try them out.  Top of the line model is like a Loomis but not the price.  They do a really nice job on these, well worth the money and great for a present.
