Don't forget to send in your comments or to call to voice your opinion on the rule changes being considered to the CCP on the Mississippi River. My opinion is it won't stop here. They once proposed to put a charge at all boat landings to make you pay to use the Refuge. Its coming back to that but through all commercial operations on the river, including fishing tournaments and commercial fishermen. They haven't even finalized everything yet but have public meetings schedu...led! This was all done in 2006 with massive public meetings, but now they are redoing it without the massive public meetings, there isn't even any advanced notice. NOBODY knows what's happening. Spread the word please. If you don't want to see us getting 500% to 1500% raises in our fees, which then get passed on to the consumer...call or email. The less than 1% Shouldn't have to pay for the 99.9% of the users in the refuge, nor should we pay at all! Its public property, given to the Federal government by the STATES! If you don't want to see any changes then call or write saying to make NO CHANGES TO THE CCP IN THE REFUGE!!!!
Share and encourage people to pass this on. No more changes to the refuge system. No more paperwork and fees and taxes. It only affects the middle class and small businesses.
