Fishing was
pretty good on Monday then on Tuesday with the cold front, it was
terrible. A few caught on the wall, but nothing until the afternoon.
Then today it started to pick up again. Some nice walleye caught down
off the south end on the wingdam, some more on the inside with
floating jigs or minnows, and some big walleye once again up on the
wall by the dam. We also are doing very well on perch right now on
just plain worms. Minnows are pretty necessary for the sauger right
now.
The water
continues to fall. The current is still pretty fast but should drop
considerably by this weekend. Should be some good fishing this
weekend, as long as the water continues to drop and warm up some
more. A few white bass have come in, but not in any numbers.
